New Delhi, May 29 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday resigned as MP from his Vadodara Lok Sabha seat from where he contested in 2014 General Elections. Modi had contested from Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh and Vadodara in Gujarat in the General Elections and won from both constituencies. Modi had defeated AAP's Arvind Kejriwal and Congress' Ajay Rai in Varanasi. He also won the Vadodara seat by a record margin of over 5 lakh votes against Congress' Madhusudan Mistry. Narendra Modi took charge as the PM on May 26 in a grand ceremony held at Rashtrapati Bhawan.
