Its celebration time for Rajini fans today (Friday).
The superstar, who is celebrating his 64th birthday in addition to the release of his blockbuster film "Lingaa," has been flooded with wishes from all quarters.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Rajinikanth's contemporary Kamal Haasan are among those who wished him.
"On his birthday, I extend greetings to the legendary Rajinikanth ji.May he remain in the best of health & have a long life. @superstarrajini," tweeted The Prime Minister.
Rajinikanth's friend Kamal Haasan wished him through a video that was shared on Kamal's Facebook page later. He gave a twist, wishing Rajinikanth a happy "44th" birthday, though the supertar actually turned 64, explaining that it is their 44th year of friendship. He also wished Rajinikanth's film "Lingaa" grand success.
Former Tamil Nadu chief minister M Karunanidhi wished the star over phone and referred to it in his Facebook page:
"Wishing #superstarrajini a very Happy Birthday, I have greeted#Rajinikanth over phone. #Lingaa #Kalaignar #Karunanidhi," wrote Karunanidhi.
