Mumbai, Aug 16 (ANI): The INS Kolkata was commissioned to the nation by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday at the Mumbai dockyard in the presence of Defence Minister Arun Jaitley and Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan. The INS weighs nearly 6800 tonnes and about 3 years were spent to manufacture it. Modi, while addressing the naval officers, said that he dedicates the INS to the nation. He also said that the INS Kolkata is an example of India’s technological knowledge.
