Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday held an informal breakfast interaction with Rajya Sabha MPs of the BJP and its allies, where he urged them to remain connected with the people, uphold ethical public life and stay away from lobbyists and vested interests.

The meeting, held amid the ongoing Monsoon Session of Parliament, was attended by several Rajya Sabha members from the NDA. During the interaction, the Prime Minister is learnt to have shared suggestions on parliamentary conduct, public engagement and political responsibilities.

According to reports, Modi advised MPs not to get influenced by lobbyists or pressure groups and instead remain focused on serving the people. He stressed that elected representatives should maintain direct contact with citizens and understand their concerns rather than relying on intermediaries.

The Prime Minister also encouraged MPs to strengthen their connect with their constituencies and continue highlighting the Centre's welfare initiatives and development work among the public. He is learnt to have emphasised that public representatives should remain accessible and grounded despite holding high office.

The interaction came as Parliament continues to witness repeated disruptions during the Monsoon Session over various issues raised by the Opposition. The government has been attempting to push through its legislative agenda while simultaneously reaching out to political parties for smoother functioning of both Houses.

The breakfast meeting was part of the Prime Minister's periodic interactions with NDA parliamentarians, where he discusses parliamentary strategy, governance priorities and public outreach, while also offering guidance on conduct inside and outside Parliament.
