Vizag, Oct 14 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday chaired a high level meeting to take stock of situation in Andhra Pradesh after the Cyclone Hudhud hit the state. PM Modi lauded the meteorological department for making efficient use of technology in predicting the intensity of the cyclone and thereby mineralizing the effect of the same. He condoled the death of people and announced compensation for the victims. He said that ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh will be given to the next of kin of the deceased and Rs 50,000 to those injured from the PM relief fund. PM also assured all help from the central government to the state governments. Later, the prime minister also took aerial survey of the affected areas in Andhra Pradesh.
