PlayStation 4: First of Pre-loading Game Titles Listed by Sony

PlayStation 4 games like Destiny, Battlefield Hardline, The Order: 1886 have been listed.

Sony, the makers of next-generation video console, PlayStation 4 has listed the first of its pre-loading gaming titles that was part of its promised system update 1.7. The feature has now become functional and owners can make use of it.

"I'm thrilled to let you all know that each of those games will take advantage of PS4's automatic pre-load feature," said Chieh Chen, digital distribution manager, Sony Network Entertainment in a post on PlayStation blog.

Auto pre-load is a feature that will allow PlayStation 4 users to download a pre-ordered game before its release date. This allows players to lay their hands on games faster since they would not have to waste time installing the game after receiving the digital copy. However, players can play the game only after its release day.

It is well known that many of the game that are big, take a long time do install due to their huge files, but with this feature, players will have those files already installed in advance. Players will now find that the pre-ordered copy will be pre-loaded automatically and will also be downloaded automatically into the PlayStation 4, by default. The only thing players have to take care is to see that the console is in standby mode.

Apart from this, Sony has said that it has added countdown times that will let players know when they can start playing. It said this feature will also be available for PlayStation 3 pre-orders and not just PlayStation 4 pre-orders.
