Amitabh Bachchan's Pink and Emraan Hashmi's Raaz Reboot have not opened as well as expected at the Indian box office. However, the films are likely to do well over the weekend.

As per early estimates, Pink has collected Rs.4.32 crore on day 1 at the domestic box office. Internationally too, Pink has registered good numbers. Taran Adarsh tweeted: "#Pink takes a VERY GOOD start in Middle East... Collects approx AED 400,000 [₹ 72.83 lacs] on Thu [64 screens]... Opens in Kuwait next week," and later shared: #Pink Fri ₹ 4.32 cr. India biz... Strong word of mouth should ensure escalation in biz on Sat and Sun.

The box office figures of Pink are impressive despite recording just 15 percent occupancy in the morning shows at the domestic circuits. Glowing reviews and positive word-of-mouth has propelled this powerful film forward.

Meanwhile, Emraan's Raaz Reboot raked in Rs. 6.30 crore at the Indian box office on its opening day, which is just about okay. Despite scathing critics' reviews, the fourth instalment should be able to cash in on the popularity of the successful franchise.

Will Pink and Raaz Reboot pick up in the coming days?

Pink is being labelled as the movie of the year by quite a few experts, which is why it's highly likely that the film will show growth over the weekend. Plus, with Baar Baar Dekho underperforming, Pink and Raaz Reboot don't have to face a stiff competition from the Sidharth Malhotra and Katrina Kaif-starrer.

Both the films have a one-week window to mint all the money they can, because Riteish Deshmukh and Nargis Fakhri's Banjo is slated for release on Sept. 23. From the looks of it, "Banjo" is a commercial entertainer, which promises some great music.

Will Pink outshine "Raaz Reboot"?

Both these films come from two very different genres and enjoy a set of target audience. They may not affect each other's numbers directly, but there will be obvious comparisons.
