Devendra Fadnavis meets PM Narendra Modi Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Monday met held discussions over the Maharashtra Reservation issue. According to sources, during the meeting, which lasted for about an hour, Fadnavis informed the Prime Minister about the steps being taken towards resolving the issue, while also clarifying the state government's role in brokering a settlement with the people. In addition, he notified Prime Minister Modi that letters had been sent to the respective Superintendents of Police in connection with the withdrawal of cases lodged against Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers during the Maratha Reservation agitations. Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis meets PM Modi On Thursday, Fadnavis stated that his government would provide reservation to Marathas in accordance with law. Following a meet with state leaders from diverse sections, Fadnavis said, "A joint statement has been signed to give reservation to Marathas lawfully.
