The video comes amid a highly controversial crackdown on drug addicts by the country’s president, Rodrigo Duterte. Duterte said he would be “happy to slaughter” the three million drug addicts in the country, a remark for which he later apologised. More than 3,100 people have been killed in police operations and vigilante attacks during Duterte’s anti-drug crackdown.
