New Delhi/ Nagpur/ Gopalpur, Oct 14 (ANI): The most powerful storm to hit India in more than a decade, Cyclone Phailin waned considerably on Sunday before leaving 14 people dead and a trail of widespread destruction behind. Cabinet Secretary Ajit Kumar Seth confirmed the death toll as the Phailin subsided from the affected state. Even as the cyclone devastated a large section of both the affected states, Home Affairs Minister Sushilkumar Shinde said that it is to the relief that the destruction caused is much lesser than the 2004 destruction caused by tsunami. Over ten million people residing along the coastal region of Odisha and Andhra Pradesh faced mass displacement as a result of the havoc created by Phailin, the super cyclone.
