PES 2016 (Pro Evolution Soccer 2016) from publisher Konami has been in the news following the release of its teaser trailer that revealed this new simulated football game will feature Neymar Jr. as the game's cover star.
Konami, ahead of the E3 2015, released the features and release date of the game. These confirm that its rival, EA's FIFA 2016, will not be able to lay hands on the PES exclusive UEFA license.
The newly-released press release clears out any question of UEFA license, quitting PES any time in the near future. In fact, it speaks about extending the agreement for another three years.
So, FIFA 16 and its future games will not have UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and UEFA Europa League. Previously, rumour had it that EA Sports would wrest control of UEFA license from Konami. All those rumours have been put to rest now.
