The year 2014 was a mixed bag for Tollywood with many surprise hits and shocking failures. While some of the low-budget films were critically acclaimed and commercially successful, few most-anticipated films failed to fare well at the box office.

With just a few days left for the New Year to begin, Telugu cinema lovers are looking forward to some highly-awaited Tollywood films of 2015. Actors including Pawan Kalyan, Mahesh Babu, Jr NTR, Allu Arjun, Prabhas and Ram Charan are all set to entertain the audience on the silver screen next year. 

From Pawan's "Gopala Gopala" to Mahesh Babu-Koratala Siva's film, check out the top 10 most-awaited Telugu films of 2015.

Gopala Gopala

"Gopala Gopala" is a remake of Hindi film "Oh My God." The Telugu version will have Pawan Kalyan playing the role of lord Krishna, while Venkatesh will be seen in the role of a shop owner.

The film is touted to be a satirical drama and directed by Kishore Kumar Pardasany. It will have Shriya Saran, Mithun Chakraborty, Madhu Shalini and Diksha Panth in supporting roles.

The film is expected to hit the screens for Sankranti 2015.

Temper

Jr NTR's "Temper" is deemed to be an action entertainer with the actor playing a cop's role. The film, directed by Puri Jagannadh, has Kajal Aggarwal playing the female lead opposite NTR Jr. Prakash Raj, Kota SrinivasaRao, Ali and Tanikella Bharani are also part of the film's cast.

The film was initially slated to release for Sankranti 2015, but latest reports suggest that it might get delayed as the shooting is yet to be completed. The buzz is that the NTR Jr starrer might hit the screens in February.

Allu Arjun-Trivikram Film

Stylish star Allu Arjun and Trivikram have teamed up for a new film after the success of their last release "Julayi." The untitled flick is touted to be a family drama with all the commercial elements.

There will be three heroines in the film including Samantha, Adah Sharma and Nithya Menen. The film is expected to hit the screens in February.

Rudhramadevi

The historical drama is about the queen of the Kakatiya dynasty. The film has Anushka Shetty playing the title role, while Allu Arjun appears in a pivotal role. Rana Daggubati, Prakash Raj and Krishnam Raju are also part of the film's cast

The Gunasekhar directorial is currently in post-production stage. The film is expected to hit the screens in March 2015, though an official confirmation is awaited.

Balakrishna's 98th Film

Nandamuri Balakrishna's yet-to-be-titled film is one of the most-awaited Telugu films of 2015. The actor's last release "Legend" turned out to be a hit at the box office. Following the film's success, there have been big expectations on Balakrishna's upcoming film.

The film, directed by Sathya Dev, is the actor's 98th project and is deemed to be a complete action-masala entertainer. Trisha Krishnan and Radhika Apte play the female leads opposite Balakrishna. It is expected to hit the screens in March 2015.

Mahesh Babu-Koratala Siva Film

Mahesh Babu has teamed up with director Koratala Siva for the first time. The film, touted to be an action entertainer, will have Shruti Haasan playing the female lead role. Nadhiya of "Attarintiki Daaredi" fame is also reportedly part of the cast.

Mahesh is going through a tough phase after facing two back-to-back flops. Fans of the actor are eagerly looking forward for the release of his yet-to-be-titled film.

Buzz is that the film might hit the screens in May 2015, though there is no official confirmation in this regard.

Kick 2

Ravi Teja-Surendar Reddy's "Kick 2" is expected to be a summer treat for fans. There are huge expectations on "Kick 2" as the film's first part was a big hit.

"Kick 2" is not a sequel to "Kick" and will reportedly have a fresh script. The film is deemed to be an action comedy entertainer with loads of commercial elements. Rakul Preet Singh plays the female lead, while Thaman composes the songs.

Gabbar Singh 2

Pawan Kalyan's "Gabbar Singh 2" is all set to go on floors soon. The film will be an action- entertainer with Pawan reportedly playing the role of a cop. The KS Ravindra directorial will not be a sequel to "Gabbar Singh" and will have a fresh script.

Newcomer Anisha Ambrose, Bramhanandam, Ali and Narra Srinu and Pawan's favourite "Antakshari" gang will also be part of the cast.

"Gabbar Singh 2" might release in May 2015.

Baahubali

Rajamouli's "Baahubali" is one of the most-anticipated films of 2015. The film, deemed to be a historic drama, has Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty and Tamannaah Bhatia in pivotal toles.

"Baahubali" is being made in two parts and the first part will hit the screens during summer. Expectations are sky high for the film as Rajamouli has an impressive track record of giving hit films. The historic drama is touted to be the costliest film ever made in Telugu.

Ram Charan's Ninth film

Ram Charan is yet to announce his next project. According to latest reports, the actor will be teaming up with director Srinu Vaitla for the first time. Details of the film are yet to be revealed.

Even before it could go on floors, there is a buzz that the film will be releasing in Dussehra 2015.

Apart from these films, NTR Jr-Sukumar's project, Akhil's debut film and few other dubbed films are among the most-expected films in 2015.
