From Pawan Kalyan to Nithiin, check out our list of 2013's best actors in Telugu cinema

Pawan Kalyan

Power Star Pawan Kalyan once again proved that he is the box office king with his industry hit "Attarintiki Daredi".

The film, which released on 27 September, went on to become a big hit despite facing trouble over its release due to the Seemandhra protests and piracy issues.

The film raked in more than ₹73 crore in worldwide share. While some trade experts claim that the film surpassed "Magadheera" record collections, some insist the film did not break the collections of Ram Charan starrer.

Nevertheless, "Attarintiki Daredi" was declared a big hit in the history of Telugu cinema. With the success of the family entertainer, Pawan Kalyan has achieved the rare feat of having given two blockbusters in consecutive years - "Gabbar Singh" in 2012 and "Attarintiki Daredi" in 2013.

The actor is all set to work in the sequel to "Gabbar Singh", which is expected to go on floors soon.

Mahesh Babu

The actor is on a roll following the success of three back-to-back hit films. After doing action-oriented roles, Mahesh Babu starred in a family entertainer this year. The film titled "Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu" (SVSC) turned out to be a big hit despite facing competition from Ram Charan's "Naayak".

"SVSC" earned a worldwide share of ₹50 crore at the box office, according to Andhraboxoffice.

After the success of "Pokkiri", Mahesh Babu's career witnessed a downward spiral with many of his films failing to set the cash registers ringing. However, the actor bounced back with the 2011-blockbuster "Dookudu." He followed it with another successful film - "Businessman" - in 2012. This year, Mahesh struck gold once again with the success of "SVSC".

He will be next seen in "1-Nenokkadine", which is one of the most-awaited films of 2014. The film is all set to hit the screens on 10 January 2014.

Jr NTR

After facing three back-to-back flops, Jr NTR made a great comeback with this year's "Baadshah". The actor's performance in the film was appreciated by critics and fans alike.

"Baadshah" raked in over ₹46 crore at the worldwide box office. However, the actor's other release "Ramayya Vastavayya" turned out to be a damb squib. The film was criticised for not having enough entertainment quotients, but Jr NTR's performance won accolades from all quarters.

Ram Charan

Ram Charan's "Naayak" became one of the biggest hits of 2013 with the film raking in over ₹46 crore in worldwide share.

With the success of "Naayak", Ram Charan had two hits in a row including "Racha" which released in 2012. The actor, who appeared in a dual role, performed well in the film. His brilliant dance moves came in for real appreciation.

Ram Charan is gearing up for the release of "Yevadu", which has been delayed for the past few months. The film is likely to hit screens in January and clash with Mahesh Babu's "1-Nenokkadine".

Prabhas

Prabha's "Mirchi" turned out to be a big hit in 2013 with the film minting over ₹47 crore in worldwide share.

Prabhas, who was riding high with the success of "Darling" and "Mr Perfect", faced a set back with last year's release "Rebel", which turned out to be just an average grosser.

However, the actor bounced back with "Mirchi", which marks the directorial debut of Koratala Siva.

Prabhas is all set to be seen in Rajamouli's magnum opus "Baahubali", the historical saga that will release in 2015.

Nithiin

Nithiin, who was going through a rough patch, regained success with last year's "Ishq". The romantic story performed well at the box office.

The actor continued with another love story this year - "Gunde Jaari Gallanthayyinde". The film raked in over ₹22 crore in worldwide share and placed Nithiin in the top league once again.

He will be seen in two films next year including "Courier Boy Kalyan" and "Heart Attack".

Ravi Teja

Ravi Teja's "Balupu" has given the actor a well-deserving success after having six flop films in a row.

"Balupu" minted over ₹28 crore in worldwide share at the box office. Ravi Teja's has two looks in the film and the actor's performance received appreciation from critics as well as audiences.
