Pawan Kalyan's "Atharintiki Daaredi" (AD) is heading for a big clash with Jr NTR's "Ramayya Vasthavayya" (RV) at the box office.

Earlier, the Pawan Kalyan starrer was scheduled to hit the screens on 7 August, but the release date was pushed further due to the political unrest in Andhra Pradesh. The makers of "Atharintiki Daaredi" have now decided to release the film on 9 October.

"No doubt that AD is still the most awaited film in Telugu in spite of the huge delay. Look at the way the teaser, trailer and audio were received with unbelievable excitement. The trailer and the 'Katama Rayudu' song sung by Pawan Kalyan have garnered an unprecedented 2.5 million hits each on the YouTube," producer BVSN Prasad was quoted as saying by Indiaglitz.

"So the heat is on and we are more ready, more upbeat and excited than ever. So fans, get ready for the party on the 9th October," he added.

While "Atharintiki Daaredi" is eyeing the Dussehra holidays, Jr NTR's "Ramayya Vasthavayya" is also getting ready for a big release around the same time. It has been officially confirmed that "RV" will hit the screens on 10 October, a day after Pawan's film gets released.

Usually, big films need at least a week to get a good opening and rake in better collections. The release of Pawan and Jr NTR's films around the same time might affect each other's revenue. Both the actors enjoy a massive fan following in their state. It remains to be seen if any the films will be released as per their schedule.

"Atharintiki Daaredi" is a family entertainer starring Pawan, Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Praneetha Subash. The film is directed by Trivikram Srinivas and its music is composed by Devi Sri Prasad.

"Ramayya Vasthavayya" has Jr NTR, Samantha and Shruti Haasan in lead roles. Directed by Harish Shankar of "Gabbar Singh" fame, "RV" is an action entertainer and has music by Thaman.
