Onlookers Media - 8.1/10

Direction: Salim Ahamed as a writer and director has done a fantastic job in making yet another movie, which has a certain level of class and quality. Unlike his previous film he tried to make this more commercial as well but have to doubt how much that effort had succeeded.

Techinical side: The technical side of the film is brilliant. Madhu Ambat's DOP stands out from the rest. The sound design by Rasool Pookkutty is good, but cannot be termed as extra ordinary.

Music: Bijiapal's music has really gone well with the theme of the film and it was good for our ears as well.

Editing: Vijay Sankar's cuts was also nice and hope that the lag came in the film due to the theme and setting of the film.

Final Verdict: Pathemari is an emotionally touching film, which can move your heart. It's not an entertainer but it makes you see the life of some people on whose efforts we are depending on. It is a film for the people who loves class and emotional films.

Mammootty: If you want to see Mammootty in this film you will be utterly disappointed as he is completely missing in this film. But you can find someone named Pallickal Narayanan in this and you all will move with him and feel each moment he go through and that is Mammootty magic for you. Specially the performance of this man at climax part was just awesome to say the least.

Technical side: The DOP Madhu Ambat was really sensational with his stupendous frames that really set the film apart from the usual films. Salim ahammad as a writer was brilliant and as a director done justice to what he wrote.

Final Verdict: Pathemari is yet another class film from Salim Ahammad which is for all of us. It is not an offbeat film for a limited set of audience but a good class entertainer for all. Pathemari will be different experience for all of you and specially for people knows non resident Indians and related to them.
