Panasonic Eluga U with Snapdragon Quad-Core CPU Launched in India; Specifications, Price Details

Japanese consumer electronics giant, Panasonic has launched the flagship smartphone Eluga U in India.

The new Eluga U sports a 5.0-inch HD (1280x720p) IPS screen and runs on the Android v4.4.2 KitKat OS with custom UI. It is backed by 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 series quad-core processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB inbuilt memory (expandable up to 32GB).

Other stipulated specifications include 13.0-megapixel camera, 2.0-megapixel front-camera, 2,500 mAh Li-Ion battery and on the connectivity front, it boasts 3G network, dual-SIM slots, Bluetooth v4.0 with A2DP, Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n), micro-USB v2.0 and A-GPS for navigation.

As of now, the Panasonic Eluga U is retailing at e-Bay India for ₹17,490.

The smartphone is said to be made available in other channels (online /brick-and-mortar stores) from 31 July, reported AndroidOS.in.

Considering the specifications and price tag, the Japanese company might struggle to convince the shrewd Indian buyers, who are spoilt with numerous affordable phones in the market with superior specifications.

For instance, the recently released Xiaomi Mi3 comes with top-of-the line specifications such as 2.3GHz Snapdragon 800 series quad-core processor, full HD screen with Gorilla Glass 3 shield, 13.0-megapixel camera and many more feature-rich specifications and yet it comes with a dirt-cheap price tag of ₹13,999.
