Pakistan, March 24 (ANI): Pakistanis celebrated Pakistan day to mark the passage of the historic Lahore Resolution that led to the creation of a separate homeland for the South Asian Muslims in 1947. The Lahore Resolution, also known as Pakistan Resolution, was approved on March 23, 1940 in a meeting chaired by Mohammed Ali Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan. The day began with 31 gun-salute in the capital city Islamabad, and 21-gun salutes in all the four provincial capitals. Wreaths were laid at Jinnah’s grave by representatives of Pakistan army, Navy and Air Force.
