Pakistani troops on Saturday violated the ceasefire on the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri district and Indian forces were "retaliating befittingly", an army statement said.

Pakistan troops "initiated unprovoked ceasefire violation" at around 11.30 a.m. in Sunderbani sector of Rajouri, by firing small arms and shelling with mortars, the Army said.

"Indian Army is retaliating befittingly," it said.
