OPPO is once again making a splash in the Indian smartphone market with the launch of a new "selfie expert" smartphone. After bringing its first dual selfie camera smartphone – the F3 Plus - last month, OPPO announced a smaller variant of the handset, the F3 smartphone, on Thursday (May 4) at an event in Mumbai.

OPPO F3 is in line with the company's focus on bringing the best camera smartphone to the consumers. The new selfie-centric smartphone is the successor to the F1s, with significant upgrades. First off, the F3 has a dual-selfie camera, which gives you those selfies worth sharing on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

In addition to launching the F3, OPPO also launched the new Team India jersey as the official sponsor for the national cricket team. The smartphone maker has struck a five-year contract with BCCI with a winning bid of Rs. 1,079 crore.

"Cricket is a sport full of vigor and passion enjoyed by the youth of India. We believe that we share the same passion and spirit of pursuit of perfection as cricket that makes this association a perfect fit. By partnering with the team, OPPO will not only further enhance its connection with the young consumers, but also engage with the country's youth in its endeavor of providing them with the outstanding selfie-led photography experience," Sky Li, OPPO's global vice president and president of OPPO India, said in a statement.

Moving on the specifications of the F3 smartphone, it comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD display covered by a 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 5, a 13MP rear-facing camera with Dual PDAF and f/2.2 aperture, and a dual camera with LED flash on the front. The selfie camera has a 16MP 1/3-inch sensor with f/2.0 aperture and an 8MP 6P lens with 120-degree wide coverage, which answers your need for selfies and group selfies.
