OnePlus X is a complete package in terms of design and performance. The black-hue glass back in the Onyx version spelled class. The Chinese smartphone-maker has just launched a gold-and-white Champagne edition. The new variant is elegant and packs a similar performance at the same price as the Onyx variant at Rs 16,999.
The OnePlus X Champagne edition will go on sale alongside the Onyx variant exclusively on Amazon India, starting midnight tonight. Buyers won't need a special invite to purchase the new colour option in the OnePlus X.
"OnePlus X Onyx will be joined by a brand-new Champagne edition which will go on sale on Amazon India. Existing invites for the OnePlus X can be used to redeem either the Onyx or the Champagne versions," the premium smartphone-maker said in an emailed statement.
Earlier this month, OnePlus had announced the availability of the OnePlus X Champagne edition outside China for the first time in Europe. The move was part of its celebration of two years in business. The Champagne edition was expected to go on sale in Europe later this month, but OnePlus decided to launch the handset in India as well.
OnePlus has been quite active this past year. On Tuesday, the company unlocked 5,000 OnePlus X invites through a campaign on Twitter using the hashtag #UnlockOnePlusX.
"There is a certain pride in owning a OnePlus device, and our fans love to share their experiences on social media. Twitter's 'Flock to Unlock' is an exciting way for the OnePlus community to engage in the campaign and to rally together to unlock invites." said Karan Sarin, Head of Marketing - India, OnePlus, in a statement.
At Rs 16,999, buyers are getting the following:
