Italian famed sports carmaker Automobili Lamborghini announced the launch of a special edition of Huracan Avio in India in the month of September 2016. Seven months after its launch in the country, the first unit of the 250 units of the Lamborghini Huracan Avio made worldwide has landed on Indian shores.

The first car in India of Huracan Avio, the Italian carmaker's tribute to aeronautical engineering of the Italian Air Force, will find its home Kolkata. It has made its way to the Indian market in Verde Turbine shade. The special edition is offered in five exclusive colours -- Grigio Falco with pearlescent finish, and four optional matt colours of Blu Grifo, Grigio Nibbio, Grigio Vulcano and Verde Turbine.

The interiors of Huracan Avio draws inspiration from fighter jet aircraft with digital instrument clusters, controls located on the centre console as in airplane cockpits, and the red engine start button. It features black leather finish in Alcantara with embroidered 'L63' logos on the seats. The door panels of the Avio also get the logo L63, where L stands for Lamborghini and 63 is the year the company came into existence.

At the heart of Huracan Avio is a naturally aspirated 5.2-litre V10 engine that can belt out 602bhp of power at 8,250rpm and 560Nm of torque, mated to seven-speed dual clutch transmission. The sports car sprints to 100kmph in just 3.2 seconds and can rev to over a top speed of 325kmph.

Limited to a production run of just 250 units, Huracan Avio has been priced at Rs 3.71 crores, ex-showroom, Pan India.
