Old Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes scrapped: Reliance Jio's JioMoney offers easy alternative on smartphones

After the government of India demonetised the Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes, people have expressed a bit of apprehension over making payments, which were earlier done by cash with the old currency notes. Now, with banks and ATMs flooded with people wanting to either exchange their notes or deposit them, cashless transactions could come to the rescue. As far as the devaluation of old Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes are concerned, the old currency will continue to be accepted at vital places until November 14-midnight. These places include government-operated petrol bunks; cash counters at court halls, toll plazas operated by NHAI and crematoria across the country.
