Mani Ratnam's "Ok Kanmani" and Raghava Lawrence's "Kanchana 2" have got flying starts at the box office. Both the films have made stupendous business worldwide.
Indeed, "Ok Kanmani" and "Kanchana 2" have been declared hits by the industry already. Leading trade tracker Sreedhar Pilain announced the news on Twitter and posted, "The week starts on a happy note 4 TC, as both #Kanchana2 & #OKKanmani, have been declared hits."
While "OK Kanmani" has grossed ₹6.3 crore in Tamil Nadu, the business made by "Kanchana 2" in the first weekend is ₹17.5 crore.

"Ok Kanmani" has got wonderful response from family and multiplex audiences and "Kanchana 2" has been loved by mass audience. It is not just in Tamil Nadu but the films have done well outside the state too.
The response in Karnataka and Kerala have been good. In the overseas circuits, both "Ok Kanmani" and "Kanchana 2" have performed well. In the US alone, the film has made ₹2.18 crore in three days and the Sunday's figure is awaited. The total business made by the films are yet to be revealed by the makers of the films.
In Chennai, "Ok Kanmani" has been beaten by "Kanchana 2". The Mani Ratnam's movie has earned ₹84.6 lakh in the first weekend and Raghava Lawrence's film has raked in ₹1.31 crore.
