Agartala, June 16 (ANI): Asset Manager of ONGC Tripura VP Mahawar said that the country would be in a position to supply 100 megawatts of power to Bangladesh by the end of this year under its Palatana project, which is a hallmark of cooperation between both the nations. Northeast region shares 1,880-km-long border with Bangladesh, and has potential for developing cross-border trade. In response to India's request, Bangladesh government had allowed the transit of the dimensional cargos, consisting of heavy machinery and turbines for the project through the waterway of that nation into landlocked Tripura and without which it would have also been impossible to inaugurate the power plant.
