Gajapati, June 02 (ANI): The district administration of Odisha along with a child welfare committee rescued 32 children on Monday, who were working at a construction site in Karnataka. Children, belonging to Maoist-affect areas in Odisha, were working as construction labourers in Karnataka. Twenty-one girls and 12 boys, aged between 6 and 14, were rescued and brought to a home in Gajapati district in Odisha. Niranjan Majhi, a broker, had lured parents of the children on the premise that their children would get free accommodation and would be able to study in English medium schools. He also promised parents that they would be allowed to visit their children once a year.
