Hosts Sri Lanka will take South Africa in the fifth and last ODI of the series. The match will be played at R Premadasa Stadium, Colombo on Wednesday.

The game will begin at 02:15 PM IST (Wednesday) and telecast live in India on Ten Cricket.

Overview:

The fifth match is a dead rubber after Sri Lanka clinched the series 3-1 on Sunday but it's still going to be an exciting one as South Africa will try to end the disappointing series on a winning note while the hosts will be keen to wrap up the series 4-1.

Sri Lanka won the first two matches before South Africa bounced back and won the third ODI by 56 runs. However, the hosts clinched the series by wining the fourth match by eight wickets with 36 balls remaining.

Team News:

Sri Lanka: All-rounder Chathuranga de Silva and bowler Vimukthi Perera, who are both 23, Kusal Perera and Dimuth Karunaratne have been recalled to the team. Upul Tharanga and Jehan Mubarak have been dropped while Mahela Jayawardene, Rangana Herath and Lasith Malinga have been rested after having clinched the series.

Tillakaratne Dilshan scored 115 and Kumar Sangakkara scored 91 in the previous match, making 238 total look like a small score. Ajantha Mendis took four wickets while Lasith Malinga took three and Dilshan took two.

South Africa: JP Duminy scored 97 and Hashim Amla scored 77 in the previous match but the failure of the middle order let the team down. The absence of key players like Dale Steyn, Jacques Kallis and Graeme Smith was felt in the series with their batting looking ordinary.

On the bowling front, Morne Morkel and Lonwabo Tsotsobe were the only bowlers who took wicket in the previous match. The manner in which Sri Lanka beat them exposed the hollowness in their bowling department.

Prediction:

Sri Lanka are favourite to win.
