Despite giving hits and making a mark in the industry, Varun Dhawan hasn't received his due. He often gets typecast by the audience as the "comic" actor. So much so that him being roped in for war drama 'Border 2' raised many eyebrows. From his smile to his acting in the trailer, everything got scrutinized and trolled.
However, Varun hasn't let any of the trolling get to him. The actor, in a recent interview has said that he shuts down the unnecessary noise and will let the film speak for itself. He also added that people would understand what makes him get to work this Friday, on the day of the film's release.

Not bogged down
"I believe that you shut down the noise and just let your work do the talking. Yeh sab cheezein chalti rehti hain (All these things keep happening). It doesn't really matter. Main iske liye kaam nahin karta hoon. Main jis cheez ke liye kaam karta hoon woh iss Friday ko pata chalega (I don't work for this. What I work for, you will find out this Friday," Varun said in an interview.

Numbers not a concern
Dhawan went on to add that he has complete trust on the film and the commercial aspect doesn't even strike his mind when the film is so good. "Mujhe film pe bharosa hai. Ek achi film banana bohot zaroori hai. Obviously, numbers and all these things don't concern me. But I believe ki humne ek achi film banayi hai (I believe in the film. It's very important to make a good film. I'm not concerned with numbers. I believe we made a good film). That's the most important thing," VD said at an event.
Border 2 brings back Sunny Deol as an army man once again. The film also has Diljit Dosanjh, Varun Dhawan and Ahan Shetty in pivotal roles. Border 2 is produced by Gulshan Kumar and T-Series.
