Burdwan, Oct 17 (ANI): Commandos of National Security Guard (NSG) defused over 40 hand grenades and bombs that were found in Burdwan district of West Bengal on Friday. A joint team of the NSG and the National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Thursday recovered the ammunition in large quantities from a house in the district. Apart from grenades, the team recovered five socket bombs also from the house of one Rizwan Sheikh. This recovery comes after two suspected militants were killed and another was injured in the explosion which occurred on October 02 at a house in Khagragarh area of the district. The involvement of militant outfits like Lashkar-e-Toiba and Harkat-ul Jihad al-Islami are being suspected in the blast. Meanwhile, in another such incident, around 100 crude bombs were detected and diffused in Kaliachak block of Malda by CID Bomb Squad members.
