Nokia Unveils Asha 2050 Dual-SIM Phone with QQ KeyFacebook

Nokia India rolled out a new smartphone, Nokia Asha 205, with a dedicated Facebook key. The device is priced at ₹3,499.

Nokia Asha 205 mobile phone sports a 2.4-inch LCD display with 240x320 pixel resolution and comes with a full QWERTY keyboard along with a built-in dedicated Facebook button.

"Young consumers are increasingly using Facebook for communication, socialising and entertaining. The launch of the Nokia Asha 205 responds to this growing demand and gives a unique option for consumers at an affordable price point", said Viral Oza, Director Marketing, Nokia India, as quoted by Press trust of India.

The phone also packs Nokia's 'Slam' feature which allows sharing of multimedia content such as photos, music and video instantly with other users without the need to pair devices, said the company.

"In just a few clicks, people can 'Slam' their content to another device faster than Bluetooth alone and without consuming internet data", the company said.

The device hosts 64MB internal memory, a microSD card slot that supports up to 32GB storage, music playback time of 30 hours, and 1,020mAh which gives talk time of 11 hours. It comes preloaded with applications such as Google Talk, Yahoo!, Facebook chat, Windows Live Messenger, eBuddy, Direct chat, Hotmail, Yahoo! Mail, Gmail, Nokia Mail, Direct Email, and 40 EA games. On the connectivity front, the device supports Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR with Slam, 2G, GPRS and EDGE .

Talking about the Finnish company's partnership with the social networking site Facebook, Kevin D'Souza, country growth manager of Facebook India said, "People around the world use Facebook Mobile to connect and share with their friends.
