Finnish handset maker Nokia on Monday showed-off a teaser image of a QWERTY based feature phone on its official twitter page.
Nokia has also posted that it would announce something new (possibly a new Asha phone), followed by a Q&A session with Neil Broadley (Nokia Mobiles Team) and a special guest on 24 April at 7:00 AM GMT (Around 12:30 PM ).
The new teaser image released by the Nokia shows glimpses of a bright yellow phone with a physical key button and curved corners as seen in the Lumia based smartphone series.
Several tech blogs have opined that the new handset might be a refurbished Asha series based feature phone with a little tinge of Lumia's influence on its physical form. Also, it is very unlikely to run on the Windows Phone 8 OS.
Nokia's new teaser ad comes close on the heels of the company's 2013 Q1 results which reported a steep decline in Asha sales. "Asha full touch smartphones Q1 volumes decreased 46% quarter-on-quarter to 5.0 million units, reflecting intense competitive industry dynamics as well as lower seasonal demand," said the company.
