Finnish handset maker Nokia finally pulled the wraps on the much anticipated budget phone Lumia 525 (aka Glee) today.

The rumoured phone was pegged to debut at the Nokia World 2013 in Abu Dabhi last month but never made it. Now, the Lumia 525 - successor of company's best seller Lumia 520 - has been made official.

Apart from a bump in RAM capacity and an updated Lumia Black OS, the new phone packs pretty much the same specifications seen inside its predecessor Lumia 520.

Lumia 525 sports a 4.0-inch WVGA IPS LCD screen with pixel density of 235 ppi (pixels per inch) and runs on the Windows Phone 8 OS with Lumia Black update, powered by the 1GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 CPU with 1GB RAM and 8GB inbuilt memory (expandable up to 64GB via microSD card).

As of now, Nokia is still mum regarding the Lumia 525 release and price details but numerous reports are emerging the new phone may get released in the Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific regions and China, reported Engadget.

Indian arm of Nokia has also updated the Lumia phone portfolio page on the company's official website with 'Coming Soon' tag, hinting the Lumia 525 may hit the stores in the subcontinent too.
