Nokia Lumia 1520 Phablet Launched in India; Price and Availability Details

Nokia today officially launched the company's first ever phablet Lumia 1520 in India.

Nokia's flagship phablet Lumia 1520 made its global debut in late October at the Nokia World event, Abu Dabhi. It boasts of 6.0-inch full HD (1920x1080p) AMOLED display with 368 ppi (pixels per inch) pixel density and runs on the new updated Windows Phone 8 OS (Lumia Black) out-of-the-box.

The mammoth Nokia phablet is backed by the 2.2GHz Snapdragon 800 series quad-core CPU, Adreno 330 graphics engine with 2GB RAM, sumptuous enough for multi-tasking and play power-intensive games with less drag. It also comes with 32GB inbuilt storage (expandable up 64GB) and a high-capacity 3400 mAh battery, which can run the phone for 32 days under standby mode.

Like all high-end Nokia smartphones, Lumia 1520 too comes loaded with top-of-the-line camera specifications. It houses a feature-rich 20.0-megapixel PureView main camera boasting of LED flash, 6-lens element Carl Zeiss optics, OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) sensors, BSI (Backside-illuminated image) sensor, high-resolution (loss-less) 2x zoom and on the front side, it flaunts a 1.2-megapixel wide angle HD snapper.

According to reports, the new phablet is priced at ₹46,999 and will be available in bright red, yellow black and white colour variants starting from Monday.

Though Lumia 1520 phablet is bit late to the market, its high-end camera specification and powerful CPU is likely sway certain buyers, who are looking for an alternative phablet option, which does not run on Android OS.
