Ranveer Singh starrer Dhurandhar, featuring Arjun Rampal, Akshaye Khanna, Sara Arjun, and others, created a storm at the box office and has become the highest-grossing Hindi film to date. The movie's dialogue caught the audience's attention, with some lines inspired by Sunny Deol's films. One dialogue that became the talk of the town was: "Ghayal hoon, isiliye Ghatak hoon." (Ghayal and Ghatak are titles of Sunny Deol's movies.)

Meanwhile, Sunny Deol, who is basking in the success of Border 2, opened up in an interview about his film titles being used in the Dhurandhar dialogue.

Speaking to ANI, when Sunny was asked if he received any royalty from the makers of Dhurandhar for using his movie titles, he smiled and said, "Nai, hamare jo director hai, he is a great fan. Unhone meri picture dekhi hai aur unhone Ghayal, Ghatak, yeh sab filmein dekhi hai toh. So, I think just for respect, maybe he used the dialogue. I mean, they have used the title, which is very sweet."

Sunny is currently riding high on the success of Border 2, which has collected Rs. 318.55 crore at the box office so far and continues to run in theatres. Dhurandhar, meanwhile, has earned a mammoth Rs. 894.48 crore net at the Indian box office, equaling Rs. 1,055.48 crore gross.

The actor has several interesting projects lined up, including Gabru, Lahore 1947, Ikka (Netflix release), and Ramayana. Lahore 1947 is slated to release on August 14, 2025, during the Independence Day weekend, while Ramayana Part 1 will hit theatres this Diwali, with Sunny playing the role of Hanuman.

Meanwhile, moviegoers are eagerly waiting for Dhurandhar 2, set to release on March 19, 2026, during the Eid weekend. The first teaser received a mixed response, as it resembled the climax of Dhurandhar Part 1, but fans are now looking forward to more promotional content from the film.
