No Destination Wedding for 'Yeh Hai Mohabbatein' Actor Karan Patel aka Raman and Ankita Bhargava

'Yeh Hai Mohabbatein' actor Karan Patel created quite a stir after he announced his engagement with Ankita Bhargava. Later, the bride-to-be made grand announcements of their wedding plans.

Promising it to be a filmy affair, she said it would begin with pre-wedding cocktail, sangeet, and then the pheras will take place. It was also being speculated that it could be a destination wedding.

Karan, however, dampened the thrill by confirming that they wouldn't get married away from Mumbai as work takes up a lot of his time, adding that he has been working round-the-clock to get a few days off in and around the big day.

"It will be a Mumbai wedding as my shooting schedules aren't leaving me with any time to travel. I have been shooting round the clock to get a few days off," he said, Bollywood Life reports. The actor has taken up hosting for "Gumraah Season 5" and "Nach Baliye 7".

The couple got engaged at a private roka ceremony on 14 March, and will tie the knot on 3 May.

This union didn't come easy for the two of them. Karan was dating Kamya Punjabi and reports state that Ankita ruined their equation. Later, she clarified that the former couple split long before she entered the TV actor's life.

"It's not like I entered in Karan's life and he decided to break-up with Kamya. They parted ways in December last year, after which Karan was looking to settle down and so was I. Our families met in January. Karan and I interacted quite a few times and we just connected instantly and thought we should marry each other," she said, according to India Today.
