Nikki Tamboli cries, accepts Arbaaz Patel's proposal on The 50; father disapproves over religious difference

Love is in the air, and celebs are not just professing their love in real life but even on-screen, making their moments memorable. Recently, on the reality show The 50, Arbaaz Patel surprised his girlfriend Nikki Tamboli by proposing to her on national TV. The couple, who have been together for over a year and a half, first met during Bigg Boss and have been dating ever since.

However, several clips are now going viral, showing Arbaaz proposing to Nikki and admitting that he had never formally done so before. He said, "Colors ne hi mujhe kisi ne impress kiya tha..." Then, going down on one knee, he confessed, "I love you so much. I love you, Nikki."

Tears welled up in Nikki's eyes as the housemates cheered in the background. Nikki also went down on her knees and reciprocated the proposal. Sharing the clip on her social media, she wrote, "Life didn't slow down... but in that one moment, my heart did." She described the proposal as completely unscripted, calling it a moment where "two souls, standing in the chaos," chose each other once again. Nikki mentioned that she had been waiting for this proposal and opened up about her fears, as the couple comes from different religions. She shared that while they have been together for 1.5 years, her father has not accepted their relationship. "My father is not accepting it, and I have gone against him. Kyunki meri maa ne mujhe sikhaya hai that you should not sacrifice your love for anyone," she said candidly. (My mother taught me not to sacrifice love..)
