India's National Investigation Agency (NIA) has sought help from Interpol in nabbing Dawood Ibrahim aides Javed Patel aka Javed Chikna and Zahid Miyan Sheikh aka Jao.

The Interpol has issued red corner notices against the two D-Company members for the murder investigations of two right-wing leaders from Gujarat. Zahid is in South Africa at present.

A Letter Rogatory -- a formal request from one country's court to another for judicial assistance to – will also be sent to Pakistan, sources told Times of India.

The NIA will also send Mutual Legal Assistance Treaty (MLAT) requests to the US and South Africa so that the Indian anti-terror agency can access correspondence of the criminal masterminds about the formulation and execution of the plan to kill multiple right-wing leaders. It will also reportedly approach Dubai to assist in the investigation.

Javed have been implicated in the deaths of right-wing leaders Shirish Bangali and Pragnesh Mistry. The investigation -- later taken over by the NIA -- revealed that the "larger conspiracy" to assassinate RSS/BJP leaders and other Hindu leaders was spearheaded by Dawood Ibrahim and his aides.

"He( Dawood) is reportedly behind the murders of Bajrang Dal member and anti-cow slaughter activist Prashanth Poojary in Moodbidri in Dakshin Kannada district on October 9 and former president of BJP's Bharuch (Gujarat) unit, Shirish Bangali, and general secretary of the BJP youth wing, Pragnesh Mistry in Bharuch last month," an official source told Asian Age last month.

A list of 48 most wanted criminals that was shared with Pakistan featured Javed Chikna, Zahid Miyan, Hafiz Saeed -- the chief of an outlawed group Jama'at-ud-Da'wah -- and Dawood Ibrahim.
