A TV interview was suddenly interrupted by a huge explosion that sent a manhole cover flying over a street in Buffalo, New York on 12 April and it was all caught on camera.

Authorities say an underground electrical fire started around noon, causing smoke and a series of explosions.

A man was being interviewed by a reporter on camera when one of the explosions took place, blasting the heavy manhole cover about 100ft into the air.

A mans voice can be heard warning bystanders to watch out for the cover as it fell to the ground. Police cleared and closed off the area and luckily there were no injuries.
