New Year 2016 has arrived, and it is expected to witness a number of Bollywood marriages. There are some Bollywood couples who have been dating each other, or are rumoured to be dating each other, for quite some time now, and speculations are rife that they would tie the knot in 2016.
While some of the celebrities are confirmed to be in relationships, some others are yet to make it official but do not shy away from being spotted together at regular intervals. The year 2015 was marked by some grand Bollywood weddings, including those of Shahid Kapoor-Mira Rajput and Harbhajan Singh-Geeta Basra. Now, with the arrival of 2016, here are some star couples who are likely to get hitched this year.
Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif: One of the most-talked-about Bollywood pairs, Ranbir and Katrina's relationship is no more a secret. The duo has been dating for a long time, and are currently in a live-in relationsip. Ranbir was quoted by a daily as saying he and Katrina would get married in 2016. He also said they were planning to tie the knot in 2015 itself, but postponed to 2016 due to their hectic schedules.
Salman Khan and Iulia Vantur: Although there is no confirmation on Salman Khan and Iulia Vantur's relationship, the Romanian beauty being part of the superstar's birthday bash suggests the rumours of their affair is true. Reports also suggest Salman has been planning to get hitched soon after being acquitted of all charges in the 2002 hit-and-run case. The year 2016 may be lucky for him.
Yuvraj Singh and Hazel Keech: The cricketer and the model-turned-actress got engaged in November 2015, and are most likely to get married this year. Yuvraj and Hazel dated for three years before getting engaged, and reports suggest they will take the next step in February 2016.
Asin and Rahul Sharma: Actress Asin and Micromax co-founder Rahul Sharma are ready to get married on 23 January this year. Their wedding card is also out. The big event will be held in Delhi.
Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli: While the India Test cricket team captain and the actress have been in a relationship for a long time now, rumours of their marriage started doing the rounds after Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma were spotted having lunch with the latter's father. However, Anushka soon released a statement denying the buzz. But she also asked her fans to wait for her announcement, and 2016 might be the lucky year.
Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone: Although Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone have not yet confirmed their apparent relationship yet, they have been dropping enough hints for fans to believe the rumours. Rumours also suggest the two will not only make an official announcement of their affair, but also might get married by the end of 2016.
Bipasha Basu and Karan Singh Grover: The Bong beauty and the handsome hunk are reportedly in a relationship. Though they call each other close friends, the two often go on romantic vacations in exotic locations. Moreover, during a Twitter interaction with Yuvraj Singh, Bipasha suggested she would get married soon. It seems 2016 will be an eventful year for the actress.
