After its image was leaked on the internet, Renault officially released the first image of the new Koleos SUV ahead of its public unveiling at the Beijing International Automotive Exhibition on April 25, 2016. The picture shows just the face of the D-segment SUV. The design of the new Koleos has been heavily borrowed from the company's Talisman sedan.

Renault's diamond logo sits at the centre of the front grille, which is flanked by full LED headlights. The layout is identical to the Talisman and the Megane of Renault. The grille features four vertical chrome slats and faux skid plate in the lower section of the front bumper translates off-roader looks. The picture of the SUV also shows many crease lines on the bonnet. New Koleos sits on 19-inch alloy wheels in two-tone design and wheel arches are fitted with plastic body cladding.

All other information on the SUV has been kept under wraps for the debut. The press note of Renault claims the new Koleos will have a refined, comfortable interior that will boast record room for the passengers. The reports say the interior layout will also be inspired from the Talisman. This includes a touch screen unit at the centre of dashboard and digital instrument cluster. The Koleos will continue to be a five-seater SUV with optional four wheel drive system

Koleos is a slow selling model in Renault's India portfolio. The current Koleos is one of the first Renault cars to have been launched in India. Steep pricing has been considered as the key reason for slow sales. The new Koleos is expected to enter India in early 2017.
