South Korean auto-major Hyundai will unveil its much-awaited new Elantra sedan in India on Tuesday. But the car has started arriving at the company's dealerships ahead of the official launch.

Some spy images of the new Elantra have been released by AutosArena and needless to say, it gives the best yet look at the model. The Elantra is said to have been snapped at a dealership yard in Ahmadabad.

To be offered in six trims -- SX, SX AT, SX (O) and SX (O) AT -- the new Elantra will be sold in 2.0-litre Dual VTVT petrol and 1.6 CRDi diesel engine options.

While the petrol-powered Elantra will churn out 151bhp and 190Nm of torque, the diesel unit will belt out 127bhp and 265Nm of torque. Both the engines are coupled with the choice of manual and automatic transmissions. Coming to the fuel efficiency, it is being said that the premium sedan will deliver 22.4 kmpl for diesel MT and 14.6 kmpl for petrol MT.

The new Elantra measures 4,610mm in length, 1,800mm in width, and 1,450mm in height and gets a wheelbase of 2,700mm.

From a visual standpoint, it flaunts prominent hexagonal grille with a pair of swept-back headlamps at the front. The new Elantra also gets vertically aligned DRLs, prominent character lines, new alloy wheel design and LED taillights.

The feature-list of the new sedan is expected to include cruise control, steering mounted control, anti-pinch electric sunroof, eight-inch touch screen with Apple Car Play, 16-inch alloy wheels, rear armrest and smart boot opening.
