Ford's highly anticipated new Figo hatchback made its India debut with a price tag starting at Rs 4.29 lakh (ex-showroom).
The new Ford Figo hatch petrol has been priced at Rs 4.29 lakh, while the diesel Figo gets a price tag of Rs 5.29 lakh. The prices announced now are introductory and Ford is likely to review the prices of new Ford after the festive season of this year.
Under the hood, the new Ford Figo gets 1.2-litre 4-cylinder petrol motor, which can dish out 88 PS and 112 Nm of torque, 1.5-litre petrol that can make 112 PS and 136 Nm of torque and 1.5-litre diesel mill that can churn out 100 PS and 215 Nm of torque.
The new Figo is available in 7 exterior body shades: Oxford White, Tuxedo Black, Ruby Red, Sparkling Gold, Ingot Silver, Smoke Grey and Deep Impact Blue.

The highly-anticipated new Figo hatchback from the house of Ford is all set to go on sale in India on Wednesday, 23 September.
Ford Figo is the second launch of the company in India in two months, the first being Ford Figo Aspire. The launch event of the new Figo is scheduled to kick-start at 12.30 pm on Wednesday.
The bookings for 2015 Figo hatch are underway in the country with a down payment of Rs 25,000 and the prices are expected to be revealed at the launch.
From what we know so far, the feature list of the new Figo hatchback is expected to include dual front air bags, six anti-lock braking systems (ABS), Ford's SYNC multimedia system, automatic climate control and electronic brake force distribution (EBD).
Likely to be priced at Rs 4 lakh, the 2015 Ford Figo hatchback will rival Maruti Suzuki Swift, Hyundai Grand i10 and Tata Bolt.
On the engine front, the new Figo is likely to include 1.5-litre Ti-VCT petrol engine and 1.5-litre TDCi Duratorq engine. While the 1.5-litre Ti-VCT petrol engine is expected to deliver 112 PS of power at 6,300 rpm and 136 Nm of peak torque at 4,250 rpm, the diesel mill, which is also part of Figo Aspire, will continue to churn out 100 PS of power.
As for transmission, the petrol Figo hatchback is speculated to get six-speed dual clutch automatic transmission, while the diesel model is likely to come paired to a five-speed manual gearbox.
