Srinagar, Jan 1 (ANI): Wazwan, the traditional cuisine in Kashmir, known to be replete with fresh spices and ingredients, is gradually making way for food from over the world with new outlets sprouting across the state capital, Srinagar. Locals, specially the youth, are not complaining as they have more options now. Courtesy to these food chains, the people in the valley are now able to get a taste of the many popular delicacies like biryani from Hyderabad, pizzas and pastas from Italy at their doorsteps and that too at the fraction of the cost. The younger generation is busy lapping up the food being offered at fast food outlets like Chic King, Cafe Coffee Day and Pizza Hut etc. A young customer, Harris said that fast food joints are a good option to go to when one needs to grab a quick bite after school or college. The new food joints are also offering new opportunities of employment to the residents. Owner of a restaurant, Feroz Ahmad Shah said that over the year the number of such outlets had grown offering more employment opportunities.
