Chevrolet has started testing the Trailblazer SUV on the Indian roads and here comes what is probably the first images of the SUV testing in the country. This also hints at the possible launch of the model in India soon.

Snapped by IndianHoods, the latest set of images shows the test mule in carefully camouflaged from, thus obstructing the key details of the model. However, the front grille and overall body proportion of the prototype helped indentify the model. Earlier, Zauba records, which track India's import and export data, had shown that Chevrolet has imported one unit of Trailblazer 2017 from Thailand. The imported unit is the LTZ variant of the Chevrolet Trailblazer facelift. Chevrolet Trailblazer facelift is expected to be launched in the county during this festive season.

Under the hood, the new avatar of the SUV is likely to remain untouched and is expected to continue with the 2.8-litre Duramax four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine that develops 197bhp of power at 3,600rpm and 500Nm of torque at 2,000rpm mated to six-speed automatic transmission.

While overall styling and the design is likely to be retained in the facelifted avatar too, expect the SUV to flaunt new bonnet, new headlamps with LED daytime running lights and new front-grille. In the facelift, Chevrolet's SUV offering is also expected to accommodate updated instrument cluster, an 8-inch MyLink infotainment system and support for Apple CarPlay and new dashboard.
