Until now, it was only a rumour that Baja Auto, is working on a new Platina motorcycle, but now these latest spy shots almost confirmed that the Pune-based motorcycle major is working on a new commuter motorcycle.

Caught undergoing testing in Pune alongside the existing version of Platina 100, according to Gaadi.com, the new test mule appears to be an upgraded version of the same. While the test mule of new Platina remained heavily camouflaged; it is not difficult to make out that the upcoming version of the bike gets the styling and design elements of the current Platina. However, expect the new model to boast some changes like new colour theme and graphics. Other features like telescopic fork upfront, SNS (Spring-in-Spring) rear and alloy wheels are likely to be featured in the new models as well.

Judging from the images, most of the changes are likely to be under the hood .This likely means Bajaj is prepping its new Platina with a new engine. It is also possible that the power could come from the same engine, but with a tweak for better performance. The current version of Platina is powered by 99.27 cc air-cooled engine which can pump in a power of 8.2 bhp and a peak torque of 8.05 Nm.

At this point of time, other details about the bike are scanty; however rumours suggest a 2015 launch with a price tag slightly higher than the current version.

Bajaj will also be launching its Pulsar bikes in 2015.The company has been testing its Pulsar 200SS on the Indian roads for quite some time now. Pulsar 200SS, the fully-faired version of Bajaj's Pulsar 200NS is likely to get the same engine of 200NS and is expected to get a price tag of 1.2 lakh. Besides this, Super Sport 400 Pulsar (SS400) and the Cruiser Sport 400 (CS400) are also expected from Bajaj's factory in the coming months.
