Rio De Janeiro, June 19 (ANI): Netherlands defeated Australia 3-2 in their second match of Group B to secure a last-16 place in the 2014 FIFA World Cup. Winger Arjen Robben put Netherlands ahead in the 20th minute but within a minute Australia rovided his side with an equaliser. Australian midfielder Mile Jedinak slotted in a penalty for his side in the 54th minute that was leveled by Netherlands in the 58th minute to level the game at 2-2. Netherlands left winger Memphis Depay went on to provide the winning goal for the Dutch side in the 68th minute that saw Australia out of this year's World Cup. Netherlands had demolished defenders Spain in their opening game and overcame a strong Australian side at the Estadio Beira-Rio in Port Alegre, Brazil to secure a place in the last-16 for the tournament.
