After five months, Nestle India re-launched its popular Maggi noodles on Monday, 9 November. It was banned by Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) on 5 June for having excessive lead content.

"Your favorite MAGGI Noodles are now back #WelcomeBackMAGGI," Nestle India tweeted from its official handle. Suresh Narayanan, the company's CMD, said the company is delighted to sell Maggi noodle again to consumers. 

Meanwhile, the company has reportedly partnered with Snapdeal to sell its products online.

In October, three National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories had cleared all the samples of Maggi as mandated by the Bombay High Court.

"We have received test results from all three laboratories mandated by the Hon'ble Bombay High Court to test Maggi Noodles samples. All the 90 samples, covering six variants, tested by these laboratories are clear with lead much below the permissible limits," Nestle India had said in a statement released in October. 

After the news of the re-launch broke out, consumers who were awaiting to eat the instant noodle, called it "the best Diwali gift" for them and have been sharing their excitement by tweeting with the hashtag #welcomebackmaggi.
