Here is a clincher of hope for fans of "NICS" stars Tony and Ziva, as a new revelation has suggested that the doors on their relationship have been left ajar.

A new report by TV Line has suggested that the duo can still stay in touch with each other through Skype and online chatting.

"A lot of people have approached me about the idea of not shutting the door entirely on [their staying in touch], and I'm not opposed to it," showrunner Gary Glasberg told the Website when asked about the possibility of reunion between Ziva (played by Cote de Pablo) and Tony. "But it has to be done in a way where it feels organic to the storytelling and we're not just throwing in lines about Ziva here and there."

The good news is that Glasberg has not totally ruled out the idea of Ziva and Tony's relationship.

"If Tony's in a personal relationship or there's something significant happening for him and he wondered how she would respond, then maybe we can figure out a way to do it. It's a valid issue to bring up," he further said.

Pablo appeared in the character of Ziva in one of the season 11's episodes but left the show due to unknown reasons.

"I really want to clarify: We offered Cote de Pablo a lot of money - and then we offered her even more money," CBS Corp. president and CEO Les Moonves revealed during the Television Critics Assoc. summer press tour in Beverly Hills, clearing the airs on reports of dropping Pablo, reported TV Line.

"(U)ltimately [Cote de Pablo] decided she didn't want to do the show. It was her decision," he further said.

Fans have urged makers of "NCIS" to bring Pablo back to the show.

Though Pablo's return to "NCIS" is still not confirmed, one thing which is confirmed is that she will be seen in a CBS's mini series "The Dove Keeper". She will play an independent mother named Shirah and her character will be surreptitious and enigmatic. According to a report by Hollywood Reporter, her character will be performing ancient rites of magic and have great knowledge of herbal remedies.

"Her talent, strength and beauty will light up the screen in the important role of Shirah," revealed Roma Downey.

"The Dove Keeper" is a four-hour mini-series based on Alice Hoffman's historical novel with the same name.
