National Coming Out Day, the annual civil awareness day, is celebrated on 11 October by the United States and more or less, the rest of the world for the LGBTQ+ community. It celebrates everyone that comes out as gay, and is observed in the form of rallies, parades, and spreading awareness.

In celebration of National Coming Out Day 2015, we have compiled some of the most inspiring quotes by celebrities in support of the LGBTQ+ community:

Pope Francis -If someone is gay and he searches for the Lord and has good will, who am I to judge? We shouldn't marginalise people for this. They must be integrated into society.

Laverne Cox - ..So many more trans folks coming forward and saying, 'This is who I am, this is my story. I will not be silent anymore, I will not be in hiding anymore,' and that's when a movement really happens, right?

George Clooney:  At some point in our lifetime, gay marriage won't be an issue, and everyone who stood against this civil right will look as outdated as George Wallace standing on the school steps keeping James Hood from entering the University of Alabama because he was black.

Jay Z - What people do in their own homes is their business, and you can choose to love whoever you love.

Judith Light - You know, gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender - people are people.

Brack Obama - When all Americans are treated as equal, no matter who they are or whom they love, we are all more free.

Stephen Fry - At least 260 species of animal have been noted exhibiting homosexual behaviour but only one species of animal ever, so far as we know, has exhibited homophobic behaviour — and that's the human being.

Pierce Brosnan - People should be allowed to marry, and gay marriage should be out there. If a man or a woman has a good partner and they love each other with their heart and soul, let them marry.
