For all those who were expecting the "Sringaravelan" combination of Dileep and Vedhika to come together for upcoming movie "Chandrettan Evidaya", here is some bad news. The actress has decided to back out of the Malayalam flick because of date issues.

The actress shared this news with fans on her Facebook page.

"Was looking forward to the Malayalam movie Chandrettan Evideya which I signed in December. Due to change in the film commencement date resulting in date clash with my other project, unfortunately I won't be able to be a part of it," Vedhika wrote.

It is now being said that Dileep's another favourite co-star Namitha Pramod has replaced Vedhika. The actress had earlier paired up with Dileep in movies like "Sound Thoma" and "Villali Veeran". However, the news is yet to be confirmed.

The upcoming Dileep film is helmed by actor turned director Siddharth Bharathan. The film, which is touted to be a complete family entertainer, also has Anushree in pivotal role.

This is the first time Anushree is being cast opposite Dileep. The actress made a huge leap with the release of her latest hit flick, "Ithihasa". Her appearance and daredevil act in the woman-centric movie garnered positive reviews from critics and audience alike.

The story, screenplay and dialogues of "Chandrettan Evideya" is penned by Santhosh Echikkanam, who has earlier written for films like "Nidra", "Bachelor Party", "Annayum Rasoolum" and "Njan Steve Lopez".

The cinematography of the film is handled by Shyju Khalid and the editing is done by Bavan Sreekumar. The music of the film is composed by Prasanth Pillai.

As for Dileep, it is going to be yet another busy year with back-to-back films. The actor is currently shooting for Jeethu Joseph movie, "Life of Josutty". The next in line is "King Liar", which will mark the return of Siddique-Lal duo. The film is scheduled to release on Onam. Dileep has also signed films of Sreebala, Ajay Vasudevan and Rathish Ambatt.

For Siddharth, this is his second directorial. His first venture, "Nidra" (2012), which was a romantic thriller, failed to make a mark in the box office, despite receiving positive reviews from critics.

"Chandrettan Evideya" is produced by Sameer Thahir, Shyju Khalid and Ashiq Usman under the banner of Handmade Films.
