The excitement around Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana, presented by Namit Malhotra, is simply immense. Bollywood fans are excited to witness the visual spectacle that is scheduled to unfold before them on Diwali of 2026. However, ever since the announcement of the film, there has been a particular area that has enticed everyone: the fact that the music of the film will be scored by stalwarts AR Rahman and Hans Zimmer. It is almost like the best of both worlds coming together and collaborating on one project. On AR Rahman's birthday, Namit Malhotra shared a never-seen-before picture of himself with AR Rahman and Hans Zimmer, and fans simply cannot keep calm.

Malhotra took to his X account (formerly known as Twitter) to wish the maestro, Rahman, a very happy birthday. In the wish towards the very end, Malhotra could not contain his joy and shared how excited he is to bring forth to the world a collaboration as iconic and brilliant as that of Zimmer's and Rahman's.

Namit wrote, "Celebrating the genius@arrahman and his big day today. Memories of my life are etched in his music and continue to remind me of my friends, my family, my country and my essence. May you be blessed with even greater divinity and SARGAM, to build a future of even greater music than you have in your past. Can't wait to bring your magic together with @HansZimmer to the world..." In the picture the three can be seen striking a pose in a music studio.

A discourse on Reddit was of course started very soon, where fans discussed how excited they were, while some also expressed their concerns about the film. A comment on the thread read, "now that's a collab I'm seated for. too hopeful for Ramayana ngl and I think if this movie is good it can be the biggest film as everyone will turn up to watch it" while another mentioned, "If classical instruments are used in the music, it will be an album for the ages. I just hope they don't overdo modern sounds."

A Reddit user mentioned, "Counting days till Diwali to see the soundscape these 3 have created" (talking about Dr Kumar Vishwas's collaboration too) while another wrote, "ARR lost his flair for more than a decade since the time of slumdog even. That was an atrocious album. He's a shadow of his former self." There were also comments like, "The only doubt I have on this movie is Ranbir Kapoor. Can he justify Lord Ram character on screen", "Dont make the music as if it only caters to the western audience", "Two legends in one frame!" and "Woooow dammn now this gonna be some kickass stuff."
